Terms of Service

Effective date: July 22, 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and ChoreCred (“ChoreCred,” “we,” “us”) covering your use of the ChoreCred app and the optional ChoreCred Plus subscription. By downloading, installing, or using the app — or by subscribing to ChoreCred Plus — you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app. How we handle data is covered separately in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

Who can use ChoreCred

ChoreCred is set up and managed by a parent or guardian. To agree to these Terms and run a household, you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to enter a binding agreement. As the adult who sets up the app, you are responsible for the household you create and for supervising the children and family members you add to it.

What ChoreCred is

ChoreCred is a private family organizer that lets a household track chores, approve completed work, convert earned tokens into screen-time minutes, and keep a shared calendar, grocery list, and family notes. It is provided for personal, family, and household use — not for resale or commercial redistribution. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

ChoreCred Plus subscription

The ChoreCred app is free to download. Every new household automatically gets a 14-day trial of the full app — no purchase or subscription required — and when it ends, the app keeps working on a free tier limited to one kid profile and up to five active chores. ChoreCred Plus is an optional, auto-renewing subscription that removes those limits (unlimited kids and unlimited active chores). Paid access continues only while a subscription is active. Its terms are:

Your data and content

The chores, approvals, token balances, calendar events, grocery items, and notes you and your family create belong to you. They live on your devices and, if you turn on the optional iCloud sync, in your family’s own iCloud — never on servers we run, because we don’t run any. You are responsible for the content your household enters and for keeping your own backups. Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

When you use ChoreCred, you agree not to:

Intellectual property and license

The ChoreCred app, name, logo, artwork, and design are owned by ChoreCred and protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on Apple devices you own or control, for your personal, family, and household use, in the manner permitted by the App Store’s Usage Rules. This license does not transfer any ownership to you.

App Store and Apple terms

You obtain ChoreCred through Apple’s App Store, and the following apply in addition to these Terms:

Disclaimers

ChoreCred is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet every expectation. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChoreCred will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or lost opportunities, arising from your use of the app. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for ChoreCred Plus in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Changes to the app and these Terms

We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change to these Terms, we’ll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, note the change on this page. Your continued use of the app after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Ending your use

You can stop using ChoreCred at any time by canceling any subscription through Apple and deleting the app. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms or use the app in a way that could harm others or us. Sections that by their nature should survive — such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — remain in effect after your use ends.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law applies to you. Nothing here limits any non-waivable rights you have under the law where you live.
