Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 22, 2026

ChoreCred is built so this policy can stay short: we don’t collect your family’s data, so there is very little to explain. It covers two things — the ChoreCred app (which sends us nothing) and this website’s waitlist form (which asks for one thing: an email address you choose to give us).

The short version

What the app stores, and where

ChoreCred stores chores, approvals, token balances, calendar events, grocery items, and family notes on your device. By default, that is the only place the app puts it. It is created by you and your family, for your family — we, the people who make ChoreCred, never receive it.

Optional iCloud sync (Partner Sharing)

ChoreCred includes an optional sync feature that a parent can turn on inside the app — the Partner Sharing card in the Family tab. With sync on:

What the app sends us

Nothing about your family or your use of the app. The app does not collect or transmit personal data, usage data, device identifiers, or location data to us. There is no account to create, so no name, email, or password of yours is stored with us. The app contains no analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising SDKs, and shows no ads. It is designed to qualify for the App Store’s “Data Not Collected” privacy label.

One exception: if you subscribe to ChoreCred Plus, the purchase is processed by Apple. We never see your name or payment details; Apple provides us only the standard transaction records needed to unlock and maintain your subscription.

How data can leave your device

Outside of the iCloud features you enable, purchases you make through Apple, and actions you take yourself, ChoreCred does not transmit your data anywhere.

Children’s data

ChoreCred is a family tool that parents set up and run. Information about kids in the household — profile names, chores, token balances — stays on your devices and, if you enable sync, in your family’s own iCloud, shared only with the family members you invite. It never reaches us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we could not sell or share it even if we wanted to, because we don’t have it.

The website waitlist

This website (not the app) offers a waitlist form, intended for parents and other adults. If you submit it, we receive and store the email address you enter — that’s all we ask for.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we’ll update the effective date above, and any change that meaningfully affects how your data is handled will be called out on this page before it takes effect.
